Today’s Question: How do I Celebrate small wins all by myself?

That’s a good question, well the truth is that adulting is hard and we may not always have people to celebrate our wins with. But the good news is that No victory is small and No victor is alone.

Here are some things you can do

  • You can try maintaining a victory journal, where you can write about all your small wins, and how they make you feel. When we learn to accept, living by ourselves, we start to find intrinsic happiness, instead of extrinsic validation.

  • The alternative to this is, sharing your small victories on the Internet. You may think, that this would be perceived as bragging, but it’s not. You might find some people, who would root for you and might as well meet some like-minded people with similar goals as yours.

  • The important thing is that you need these milestones in life, to feel motivated. They are like the dopamine boosters in your journey. So whether you celebrate them alone, or with family and friends. It is always important to feel that sense of progress and achievement.

That is my advice for you, hope it helps you. Once you learn to enjoy the little things in life, you learn the secret to eternal happiness.
