Today’s Question: How do I stop stressing out about work?
This is an important question and a challenge that we all have faced before. Stress at work could lead to serious mental and physical complications. So here is the solution to this problem.
The first thing you have to focus on is to identify the core reason for this stress. Oftentimes, you feel stressed out due to poor time management or more workload than you can handle. If it’s the latter then you need to ask yourself the question; How do I feel about this job? Is it worth stressing over? Your answer to this question will force you to look for better alternatives. A simple trick to time management is to divide time between work, breaks, and personal time. None of these sections should overlap with each other.
The next technique will help you when you are feeling intense feelings and stress and anxiety. They are simple breathing exercises like deep inhalations and exhalations. When you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace. I used to think breathing exercises were silly, but when I gave them a try my panic attacks disappeared and I feel less stressed now.
An underrated way to manage stress and anxiety is just walking once or twice a day. You can do this with your favorite music. When the blood gets flowing, you start thinking of solutions to your problem instead of dwelling on the problem. You need to start treating every problem like an opportunity if you want to reduce stress in life.
